Intersex Surgery: Clitoroplasty

Clitoroplasty is much like phalloplasty where it includes any surgical reconstruction of the clitoris, such as the removal of the corpora. Any clitoral recession and reduction can both be refer to this kind of surgery.

Potential Problems

The major complications can include:

• Scarring
• Contractures
• Loss of sensation
• Loss of capacity for orgasm during sexual intercourse
• Unsatisfactory appearance
